Dance Crazes

The most fun exercise is dance exercise

Stay fit, lose weight and keep in shape by taking to the dance floor.

Put some sparkle into your life and take up dancing.

Dance for exercise, this is the new way to workout. No need to go the gym unless you want to and you get your kicks that way. Lots of us do you know, strange as it may seem to the couch potato brigade.

However, the bottom line is that most of us want to stay in shape. Its just that exercise can become boring, especially if you’re not seeing the miraculous results you had hoped for.

So the latest trend is to take to the floor either at home or in a dance studio. This of course has been accelerated by  the incredibly popular TV programs in the States and the UK where celebrities have a professional ballroom dancing partner and after a few weeks of intense training compete against other celebrity couples.

Belly dancing is also very popular and studios and classes are springing up all over the place. Its now huge  business.

After all you never see a dancer with a bad figure do you?

Don’t be put off by the thought of having to learn complicated choreography. Just join a local class and you will find that there are classes ranging from beginners to advanced.

You can also practice at home with a video before venturing out into the dancing world.

Dancing classes can also help if you have stiff joints as there is a lot of stretching involved and in my opinion stretching is one of the most important things to keep your body supple and consequently keep old age at bay.

Have you ever looked at someone walking by and realized that what makes them look good is partly down to their posture.

The Chigaco Tribune has an article on this underground  dancing phenonemum

Believed to have started in 1980s by a group of self taught dancers it has developed  into an explosive frenzied mixture of break dancing, African tribal and tap.

Very simple basic moves speeded up make the dance look complex which it isn’t.

The video below shows The Evolution of Dance. This is the most watched video on YouTube.
